Please know that I am working as much and as fast as I can on the site but there’s a lot to do and I work 40+ hours a week in a regular job. All my previous work was deleted or moved so a lot of this is coming from memory and outdated backups which means I’m going to need some help remembering how everything was.

This is actually a completely new server maintained by yours truly. This one is hosted here in the central US and should seem much faster overall. All previous donations that I accepted personally have gone or will go towards the invoice of this server every month. What doesn’t end up covering the bill will be paid for out of my own pocket and I will never charge users to experience spaceghetto at it’s finest.
Good on you skeezie…but if you should ever need any dinero just let me know and I’ll help out. It’s the least I can do. Needless to say, contributing in the past was kinda…..well, shaky if you know what I mean.
It’s always fun to go back and look at stuff I and others posted but if it don’t come back I’ll understand…..
I manage a software department. So what you’re saying here is, the old posts are gone; but hey that’s alright then, innit? Just think of all the fun we’ll have reposting everything.
SG really stepped up to the plate last time there was a donation round and I’ve got more than enough money to run this server for about a year unless I need to buy another to balance the load of popularity booms. That being said I have always vowed to have absolute transparency in where the money given to us by SG goes. I will be making a post later tonight detailing everything that’s gone on the past few days (weeks? months?) and I will of course make sure to include the distribution of SG funds.
The issue is that I have so much on my plate that needs to be taken care of BEFORE the posts get integrated that by the time I actually get to it, we’ll have so many pages of posts already made that it may be somewhat moot. However, I haven’t made that decision yet.
My vote – if indeed there is anything like a vote – is start fresh; no old posts. Our SG crew seems able to add content at a prodigious rate.

Don’t spin your wheels on it; SG is a live-in-the-moment type dealie. I’d actually suggest limiting how long it keeps stuff hanging around, for performance reasons.
Anyone who cares about having high stats will have high stats again in the next week or so. The one and only useful stat is how long someone has been a member and you’ve captured that already.

,,,,,in such a quandary about it. I can totally see it either way. A lot of the really old content was gone anyway because of rehosting issues and such but I had a lot of bookmarks that I will miss,,,,,,but dammit,,,,I was number 3!!!!:)
This is kind of my thought on the matter, but I still hate losing SG history.

I hate losing everything, too. I don’t care about stats.
I saved a lot of my most favorite pics, but there are a lot of members whose blogs I would look through regularly—cunty’s, eek’s, edzel, dw’s, swollen goods, strap/jammy, 1on1. jocifer, coot’s, parps, sandman—and more.
But I appreciate all the hard work you’re doing so no complaints either way.
